EPILEPSY SUPPORT GROUP
The Epilepsy Support Group is open to all, especially family and friends, and meets at the church on the third Saturday of each month at 10.00 until noon.
Contact Dave Pentlow on 07505 842978 for further information.
Geared is a group for men. We organise regular breakfasts on the first Saturday of the month, walks in the summer months and other testosterone filled activities.
Lunch Plus is a social support group for people living in the Buckskin, Worting and Winklebury area who are vulnerable and isolated, and have little in the way of social support networks. The aims of the group are to provide a safe and supportive environment where people can meet together and build connections with one another, through friendship and activity, which centres around preparing and sharing a meal together. The group is open to men and women aged 18 and over, and may be particularly beneficial for individuals with mental health or other social or emotional difficulties, who are finding it hard to integrate into their local communities.
The core values of the group are to build connections; acceptance and belonging; sharing and participation; ownership and responsibility; and empowerment and enablement. The group is run by a small team of volunteers from Buckskin Evangelical Church, and meets fortnightly on Fridays, from 11am to 2pm, during school term-time. Please contact Cath Hensby, Lunch Plus co-ordinator, for further information on: email@example.com or contact the church office by phone on 01256 355363 or email office@ buckskin.org.uk.
STITCH AND CRAFT
This group is part of the women’s ministry so that the ladies can have fellowship while sharing a common interest in crafts of all kinds. It gives us the opportunity to share our knowledge of different crafts while drinking coffee and eating cake, supporting each other and showing God’s love.
